Meet The Horses

Captain
Captain is our old gentleman. He is a 24-year-old Quarter Horse gelding. He is the "been there and done that" kind of horse. In his younger days, he was shown in western pleasure and showmanship extensively. He still remembers all those buttons. He is nothing but a gentleman 100% of the time, slow, steady and is always trying to communicate with you. He is incredibly initiative and always knows when someone needs just a little extra attention.

Miss Daisy
Miss Daisy is a super sweet soul! She is a 17 yr old paint mare that is always looking for the best in everyone! She will happily let you love on her all day. Despite being blind in one eye, she always knows just where you are and always listening to every word you say (and every thing you don’t say). She’s a wise and kind old soul!

Beans
Yes, his name is Beans (we tried other names but Beans just fits him). Yes, he’s a bit of an odd duck, but he is so tolerant to everyone and just wants to be loved on. Beans is an OLD man! He is a dark bay Quarter Horse and is roughly 27 years old.

Judge
Judge is a dark handsome tall drink of water and all gentleman! He is a 19 yr old bay gelding who is extremely in tuned with everything around him. He is there to take care of his rider, but you have to earn his trust before he will truly let you in. This is a fantastic trait for those individuals who are working on emotional and behavioral regulation, as well as trust issue.

Moon
Moon is a big black Tennessee Walking horse. Moon has her own way of moving and doing what she wants. Lets face it, when you’re a big girl, everyone just gets out of the way. However, she absolutely loves her people! She wants your attention 100% of the time. She does need a bit more of an assertive handler BUT for individuals who need to work on setting boundaries, she is the perfect fit. She will test those boundaries every chance she gets but then will turn around and ask for your touch. She is a sweet and slightly needy girl.

Muffin
Her name fits her to a tee! Muffin is an older, very sweet and chubby dark bay pony. She is a true easy-keeper and loves to eat (I can relate… ) She came to us very over weight so we are working on helping her out with that. Muffin also LOVES her kiddos and is a fantastic size. She is a big pony which means most kids can ride her and not be overwhelmed by their size.

Sweet Pea
Miss Sweet Pea is a very tiny and sassy three year old miniature horse. She is truly not any bigger than a big dog. Clearly we don’t ride her, but she loves to be loved on. She is a bit younger so she is busy learning manners and proper horse/people etiquette. However, she wants so bad to just be around you. She may be the tiniest horse in the pen, but you would not know it, she rules the roast. She is in training to continue her career as a therapy pony, in order to visit individuals with disabilities and elderly populations, as well as help with programs here on the farm as well.
